The professional athletes and celebs won't be the only thing catching your eye on Miami Beach during the Super Bowl. The South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee's Champions Arch will be illuminating the sky over Ocean and 11th throughout the week. The structure built by Gerdau Ameristeel was created with recycled steel from the Orange Bowl and Sun Life Stadium and is a tribute to the region's rich tradition of hosting Super Bowls (this year being South Florida's 10th year hosting the NFL's championship game).

South Beach Burger King will soon open a restaurant with a Whopper Bar, where customers will be able to buy a beer and a burger. A whopper combo, including a burger, Anheuser-Busch or MillerCoors beer, and fries will cost $7.99 at the Miami Beach restaurant.

Last week, while eating dinner with a friend at Redd in Yountville, I overheard an interesting prediction. Our waitress, a confident young woman in her twenties, announced to a table of Napa Valley visitors that five years from now no one will drive north of Yountville. “St. Helena won’t matter anymore because everything--absolutely everything--will happen here,” she proclaimed loudly.
