Volkswagen

Join us on the road of life, as we meet people in the Plum markets who take inspiration from the surroundings to define their day to day livelihood. Whether it’s Michael and Tracey Cavaniola in Sag Harbor who open their doors every morning to the inquisitive visitors and locals looking for the finest in local dairy fare or Alison Shaw in Martha’s Vineyard documenting the island’s unique energy through the lens of her camera, these are the people who epitomize the lifestyle of these beautiful places they call home.

In creative partnership with Volkswagen, Plum envisioned and produced these segments as a way to applaud individuals who who embrace the road less traveled while seamlessly integrating Volkswagen vehicles and branding with the distinct lifestyle of the local communities. The segments are hyper local, each created with emphasis on the region and only aired in that particular market.

EVENT INTREGRATION: Hamptons International Film Festival

In October 2005, VW chose to become more involved in the Hamptons market through sponsorship of the renowned Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF). As with all major in-market events, Plum TV provided extensive coverage of the festival, and VW sponsored Plum’s coverage. Additionally, VW sponsored a 48-Hour Film Challenge in the festival, which gave 7 filmmakers a variety of guidelines and 48 hours to develop, script, shoot and edit a film.

With VW’s as their transportation, these filmmakers embarked on a whirlwind filmmaking process, and Plum TV followed one charismatic filmmaker the entire way. What resulted was a series of five :30 spots which cleverly captured the process, chaos, beauty, and work that was the HIFF 48-Hour Film Challenge. This offered VW an original and additional media component to their on-the-ground presence.

Volkswagen is a network sponsor of the MORNINGNOON&NIGHT Show. To research their models and to find a local dealer, visit them online at www.vw.com.
