Tracy Wilson Mourning’s 6th Annual Hats Off Luncheon presented by the
ING Foundation helps support at-risk girls in our community. Following her DayBreak Appearance, the
luncheon, silent auction and “Honey Bug” Fashion Show took place April 29th at Jungle Island’s Treetop Ballroom. Proceeds from the annual fashion show benefitted Camp Honey Shine, a four-week summer day camp for 100 girls at
Carrolton School of the Sacred Heart in Coconut Grove, in addition to
other mentoring programs.

The Ocean Drive Marquee at the International Polo Club Palm Beach

This year's U.S. Open Polo Championship at the International Polo Club in Palm Beach saw a face-off between Crab Orchard and Las Monjitas, with Crab Orchard coming out on top 15-12 in front of a sold-out crowd. We stopped by the Ocean Drive tent to catch up with some of the event's spectators.

Cosmo's Bikini Bash

Early this morning about 1,200 bikini-clad women began forming a human tapestry in an effort to spell out the word Cosmo on the sands of South Beach. The women were vying to break the world record for the largest swimsuit photo shoot in the process. Nikki Beach, where the event took place, was transformed into an Old Navy and Nivea sponsored village, with live interviews and free merchandise for all who attended. As special treat, the pictures will be featured in the August issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine.

The opening of the newest shop at the Village of Merick Park was a stellar event that saw stars like Brittany Murphy come out of the woodwork and do a little shopping. There were cocktails, socializing and sweet sounds.

This week Street Style got off the street and into a mansion, the Versace mansion, that is. How could we resist watching some of Miami’s most influential people strut their stuff on the runway for a good cause. The Fashion Art Ball was an amalgamation of decadence and altruism with all profits going to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis. More than that, however, it was just an all around good time.
