How long have you lived in the Wood River Valley (and where did you live before)?
I moved here in October of '08 from Martha's Vineyard, MA (where I worked for Plum as well), but I'm originally from New York
Ski or Snowboard? And what gear are you using?
I've only skied, and just bought my first pair when I moved out here at the Ski Swap.....Solomon Scramblers
What's your favorite run on Baldy?
Hands-down Broadway Face...it's just always in perfect condition!
Sun Valley was the first ski resort. Why is it still the best?
Only place I've ever skied where I complain the wait is too long when I have to wait more than 30 seconds in a lift line, oh yeah, and they skiing itself it pretty darn good too!
Favorite Valley restaurants (comfort food, fine dining, brunch)?
Fine Dining: Globus
Brunch: I'd have to say the Sun Valley Lodge for special occasions, but Perry's is real good too!
Comfort Food: Either Sawtooth Club or The Pio, both really good.
Best place to grab a beer/cocktail?
Beer: Grumpy's
Cocktail: Martini Bar (some like to call it Cavallino Lounge though)
Best Valley shopping experience?
The GypTaterBuff (Vintage Gypsy, Tater Tots, Body Buff) women in Hailey always make for an interesting shopping experience.....
Best kept secret in the Wood River Valley?
If it's a secret now why would I want to post it online for the world to see???
What do you love most about the Winter Season?
Having a mountain steps away from my condo is something new to me, so I'd have to go with the great skiing on Baldy.
What do you look forward to the most this Summer?
Just got myself a fly rod so I certainly plan on doing a lot of fishing; but also enjoying all the other fun outdoor activities I've heard plenty about since moving here...oh yeah, and getting a dog!
The Wood River Valley has a rich and storied history, but what is the one thing you think that people don't know about the Wood River Valley that they should?
Well when I moved here I certainly knew a lot about the great skiing and fun winter resort, but now that I've been here for a little bit, it sounds like it's just as much a summer destination as a winter one
What's your favorite event on the Sun Valley Calendar?
Marley in the Mountains was a ton of fun, thanks Irie!
You're stranded on an island with two Sun Valleans. Who would they be?
I'd have to go with my soon-to-be-dog, and also Guy Robins...cause he'll go through any lengths to cook a gourmet meal, anywhere!
Who's your celebrity BFF?
Big NY Mets fan, so I'd probably have to go with D-Wright
And perhaps the most important question of all...Pick a Superpower: Flight or Invisibility? Why?
Invisibility......think of all the crazy things you'd see in this valley if people didn't know you were there. Sketchy, I know!
Thanks Greg!
