Meet Hannah Pillemer, the Senior Producer/Editor at Plum Martha's Vineyard! Hannah made the jump from Boston to the Vineyard in October of last year and shares with us some of her favorite aspects of the island.

How long have you lived in Martha's Vineyard (and where did you live before)?

We moved here in October '08 from Boston.

What's your favorite beach?

The little beach at the end of the Menemsha Hills Land Bank trail. I don't know what it's called but it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

Which is the BEST Lighthouse? 

West Chop - I love to walk my dog there!

Favorite Vineyard restaurants (comfort food, fine dining, brunch)?

Offshore Ale is fun for a casual night -the Prosecco comes in cute little bottles and they brew their own beer. I've heard the brunch at the Harbor View is amazing and can't wait to try it.

Best place to grab a beer/cocktail?

Got to go with Alchemy - the most yummy mojitos ever!

Best Vineyard shopping experience?

The Green Room in Vineyard Haven - Elaine has a great eye for what's practical and completely stylish.

Best kept secret in Martha's Vineyard?

I'm still looking, but I absolutely adore the Scottish Bakehouse on State Road. It's kind of hidden and modest, but their pastries are to die for and they have wonderful vegetarian food - the coconut tofu is my favorite!

What do you look forward to the most this Summer?

Swimming and enjoying all the local parties and parades and events.

You've got quite a rivalry with "that other island" (Nantucket). Why is the Vineyard vastly superior?

We're down to earth and quirky. Who doesn't love quirky? But honestly, I've never been to Nantucket, so I'm biased.

What's your favorite event on Martha's Vineyard Calendar?

The Food and Wine Festival was so much fun!

You're stranded on an island (sadly, not Martha's Vineyard) with two Vineyarders. Who would they be?

My husband Mike and my dog Max.

Favorite book/album/movie?

Book: Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin

Album: Anything from the 80's

Movie: Tie between Blade Runner (ed. note: This really is the greatest movie ever.) and My Brilliant Career

Who's your celebrity BFF?

Tina Fey

And perhaps the most important question of all...Pick a Superpower: Flight or Invisibility? Why?

Invisibility - would love to know what really goes on behind closed Vineyard doors....
