Spotted in Aspen: Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger

Top Of The Mountain's Ramona Bruland caught up with the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, at Gondola Plaza in Aspen. The Governor was on his annual trip to Aspen, where he comes each year to ski with friends & colleagues. Schwarzenegger shared his love for Aspen and its amazing year-round activities, and compared it to his second home, Sun Valley. Schwarzenegger also had some kind words for Ramona, and her gutsy journalistic style!

Bud Light Big Air Fridays

Find out what is in store for this year’s Bud Light Big Air Fridays series at Snowmass by revisiting our piece the first Big Air comp from last season. The eight-series begins again Feb. 15 and invites skiers and snowboarders from around the state to go big or go home. After all the hucking, enjoy a live band on the Snowmass Mall from 3-4:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at 7 p.m.

Lewis Black, author, actor, playwright, Daily Show correspondent & comedic curmudgeon, joins Oliver Sharpe & Ann Korologos at the 2009 Aspen Ideas Festival to share a few big ideas. Lewis discusses a few of the panels he is participating including the comedy/journalism event, The News Has No Clothes, as well as his latest book Me Of Little Faith (his take on religion). Lewis also shares what he believes to be the most important topic facing America: Education & the lack of quality education. He speaks about the importance of honoring the Social Contract and laments the declining status of the profession of teaching. Black also offers another big idea...finding some way to pump more oxygen into Aspen.
