Plum Blogger Etiquette

We Like to Have Fun at the Swimming Pool!

Plum’s Editorial Community is a lot like the local swimming pool. Everyone comes to have a good time, but there's a code of conduct in place to make sure no one gets hurt (no dunking, splashing the life guards, or running wild).

Here is our blogging etiquette . . . .

On Content:

Will NOT be published on PlumTV.com if it falls into ANY of the following categories:

- Uses racist, sexist, homophobic, abusive, profane or utilize other slurs
- Makes ad hominem attacks that celebrate the death or illness of any person, public figure or otherwise
- Is posted with the explicit intention of provoking other bloggers
- Defames anyone (that said, if the mayor robs a bank, and we all know he did it, you should feel free to write a post about it)

On Reviews (the good, bad, & really stomachache ugly):

We are hoping that a few of you will be writing reviews of local restaurants, shops, hotels etc. We will never refuse to publish a review because it is negative, we only ask that your criticism not fall into any of the above categories and is constructive and fair. Particularly, we will not publish reviews that include ad hominem attacks (no lines like “The waitress was an idiot who forgot my diet coke!”).

On Politics:

We WILL NOT publish any posts that endorse or criticize a particular candidate or bill. The only exception to this firm rule may be if we have two bloggers with opposing views and can present a point/counterpoint post. Or if the bill in question is a vote on whether puppies are adorable, because, let’s face it, puppies are adorable.
