PLAY
1) If you're looking forward to some great fall fishing, but need a little work on your technique, come on down to the Free Fly Fishing Clinic on Tuesday, September 15 from 5:30-6:45 p.m., courtesy of the Crystal Fly Shop in Carbondale. This free clinic meets at the shop, and will focus mainly on detailed casting instruction, but will also go over entomology and rigging. When you're feeling good and ready for some real action, sign up for one of the shop's great guided float or wade trips. Visit the website for more information.

2) If you're a fan of one of our favorite fall sports, rugby, you won't want to miss the 42nd Annual Aspen Ruggerfest! Going from Thursday, September 17 through Sunday, September 20, head over to Wagner Park & Rio Grande Park to watch all the fun go down. There are 5 divisions of play to check out, so get on over to the games and maybe you can start calling yourself a rugger too!

EXPERIENCE
3) Another great fall event that we're super excited about is the Snowmass Balloon Festival, at Snowmass Village from Friday, September 18 till Sunday, September 20. This festival, in its 34th year, is one of the highest hot air balloon shows in the U.S., and features a wonderful combination of fall foliage, local food & wine, cool jazz tunes...and of course balloons!

SEE
4) Still feeling the urge to see a summer blockbuster, even though fall is fast approaching? The Belly Up is hosting a free screening of X-Men Origins: Wolverine on Wednesday, September 16 at 8 p.m. Starring Hugh Jackman as the titular character, this film tells the story of how everyone's favorite mutant got his claws. Even if you saw this monster hit over the summer, come on down and see it again (for free!). Check out more local film happenings below:
