1) Fall is almost here, and you know what that means...Canning! Join the Summer Canning Club on Wednesday, September 16 from 9 a.m. till 12 p.m. at the Rogers Mansion. Organized by the Southampton Historical Museum and led by Mary Spellman, this fun event will have members working together to can tomatoes, and then splitting the goods up at the end! Bring an apron, and the price of admission, $40 for members, $50 for non-members, covers produce and supplies. Seating is very limited, so reserve your seat now!
2) Another great interactive activity coming up is Jewelry Rendering with Eric Messin on Thursday, September 17, from 6-8 p.m. at the Rogers Mansion. Students of this class will learn to draw and paint precious metals and gemstones from opaque and semi precious colored stones to diamonds, and then design their own pieces of jewelry. Classes will run through October 22, admission is $200 (for the entire series) and students will need to purchase a list of supplies.
