MEATPACKING DISTRICT, NEW YORK - We got a sneak speak (and bite) of The Collective over the weekend, the soon-to-be open and sure-to-be hotspot in the former One Little West 12th space.

The décor is certainly eye catching, a sort of A&E's Hoarders meets Metropolitan Home and the cocktail menu is similarly spirited (we found we repeatedly gravitated towards the one that featured Russian Standard vodka, cucumber, and ginger beer). And, late-night Louboutin-throwers take heart...the kitchen will be open late. Is there a more satisfying way to end an evening than with a big plate of "Disco" fries?
