1) While it's still warm enough to do so, we suggest going Mountain Biking in the Northwest Woods! There's a gorgeous, 4-mile out-and-back single track located just north of East Hampton that's full of pine-needle path twists and turns along a beautiful rolling terrain with lots of white pine & oak trees. This should be on the top of your must-do list before winter comes to the Hamptons!

2) Take advantage of the benefits of fall and do a little Pumpkin & Apple Picking at The Milk Pail in Watermill! They've got a huge range of apples to choose from, including Honeycrisp, Empire, Macoun, Gala, and Golden Delicious, as well as pumpkins, gourds, squash, and even straw bales for the perfectly decorated fall home! They're open Friday-Monday in October from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Grab the kids and spend a great day outdoors!

3) Are you a big, maybe even huge, fan of beer? Well then head over to the B.E.E.R. in the Barn Festival, happening at the Southampton Historical Museum's Rogers Mansion on Thursday, October 22 from 5-7 p.m. The B.E.E.R. Festival (which stands for Beer Enjoyers and Enthusiasts Retreat) features Don Sullivan of the Southampton Publick House leading a very special beer tasting to raise money for the museum. They'll have a big & delicious selection of artisan beers to taste from, and it all goes down inside the impressive 1880 Nugent Carriage Barn, which also features tons of interesting artifacts from the 19th century whaling industry. So come sample some tasty brewskies, see some fascinating local artifacts, and raise money for a good cause!

4) Check out Acoustic Jams on Sunday, October 25 at Rowdy Hall, beginning at 8 p.m., for the best in local acoustic music. These popular jam sessions are free and open to all acoustic musicians wanting to show off their chops, or to anyone who just wants to come and listen. Definitely one of the best Open Mic-styled events in the area! Rowdy Hall is located at 10 Main Street, check out their website for menus & other information.
