Every Monday, we post The Five Best Things to enjoy in the upcoming week. These things are selected by the Plum TV staff and often times by you.

They range from humble to haute and include exciting events, festivals and performances as well as dining, shopping and playing at various treasured spots, shops and institutions.

This week we're looking forward to...

EXPERIENCE

1) Fall is in full gear, and what better way to celebrate than with a Harvest Party at the Wolffer Estate Vineyard! On Sunday, October 11 from 12-5 p.m., head on over to the vineyard for a delicious harvest lunch (family style on the lawn!) with an emphasis on local ingredients, paired with award winning Wolffer Estate wines. They'll have live music by local artists, grape picking & stomping, a petting zoo, face painting, and so much more. Sounds like a fantastic way to really enjoy all that fall in the Hamptons has to offer! Admission is $75 for adults, $35 for kids.

2) If the cold weather has you wanting some warm & hearty food, go to Bay Burger in Sag Harbor to fulfill your craving! They've got a delicious array of homemade comfort food (hand-crafted buns, anyone?) at totally reasonable prices that's are perfect for the chilly weather. Best of all, on Thursday, October 8 from 7-9 p.m., there will be a Jazz Jam Session going on, with no cover! So grab a burger and listen to some great jazz at this much-loved Hamptons spot.

3) This is a BIG one for all your movie buffs...it's the Hamptons International Film Festival! From Thursday, October 8 through Monday, October 12, this much anticipated long weekend of all things film will be happening in our neck of the woods. As always, there's an outstanding list of films being shown, including the very special premiere of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, directed by Terry Gilliam and featuring the final performance of the late Heath Ledger. 4) Support the Bay Street Theatre! On Saturday, October 10, come to a very special evening of comedy at the theatre as Alan Alda and Joy Behar take the stage. Though no introduction is needed, Alda (who's been nominated for an Oscar, a Tony, AND an Emmy) made his start in the business playing Hawkeye Pierce in the legendary M*A*S*H, and has gone on to star in dozens of television shows, plays, films...the list goes on and on! Behar is a Daytime Emmy award winning comedian who, after years of successful television shows and comedy routines, has recently made herself a home on the much watched and often controversial morning show The View. This one-night only event benefits the Theatre, so come on out for an unforgettable night of comedy to support your local arts! Visit the website for information about tickets, etc.
