1) Jungle Island will be hosting a Halloween Spooktacular on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31. These two nights will be full of thrills and chills, and will feature the annual Halloween Costume Contest, magical arts n' witch crafts, spectacular animal shows, and of course trick-or-treats! Swing by their "Booville" for the Wii Tourney, presented by Best Buy. There will also be a live DJ and face painting for the kiddies...everything you could possibly want for Halloween! 2) Every night this week the Miami Seaquarium will be hosting their annual Monster Splash until 11 p.m., and till midnight on Halloween night! This year, the Seaquarium will be unveiling their newest (and biggest) haunted attraction, Buried Alive! Adult guests are invited to attend their own funeral, where only darkness and screams await in every crypt and tomb. This year's Field of Screams will feature carnival rides and a special appearance by DJ Laz of Power 96. The Monster Splash will also feature their cadaverous aquatic creatures performing in the classic Halloween dolphin show, Flipper's Thrills and Chills. The kid-friendly haunted house, Frightening Manor, and trick-or-treating will also be available for children 12 and under on weekend nights. 3) Miami MetroZoo will be hosting MetroBoo! on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Families and kids ages 12 and under are invited to trick-or-treat in costumes, participate in costume contests, watch special performances, make Halloween crafts, and more. Radio Disney AM 990 will provide music and games with fun prizes. Dr. Wilde's Screamatorium, the 7,000 square foot haunted house, will be depicting the living dead, graveyards, butcher shops, and deceased creatures, all to the music of departed rock legends, such as Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin. The Zoo will also be providing face painting, bounce houses, and rock climbing!
