1) Take your four-legged friend to Dog Day at Fairchild Gardens on Sunday, September 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Once a month, Fairchild Gardens allows dogs throughout their beautiful grounds and on the tram. Not only will the leashed critters be allowed to walk around & socialize with other pups, there will also be activities and demonstrations taking place, including the Miami Obedience Club and Coral Gables Police dogs showing off their agility & skills. 2) On Thursday, September 24 and Saturday, September 26 at 8 p.m., the Miami Lyric Opera will be presenting the classic French opera Carmen at the Colony Theater on Lincoln Road. This fiery love story about a gypsy woman named Carmen and a corporal named Don Jose is set in 1830's Seville, Spain. Their relationship takes them on a string of notorious adventures that ultimately ends in murder...sounds like an exciting night at the theater! Tickets are $30.
3) Take a journey to the magical lands of Disney's classic fairy tales at Disney on Ice Presents: Princess Classic on Thursday, September 24 at the American Airlines Arena. Join special guest Tinkerbell as you enter the worlds of Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty and all the other legendary Disney princesses on this amazing ice skating spectacle! Everyone, young or old, can relate to the life lessons gained in kingdoms under the sea, enchanted castles, and arabian palaces. You can pass these magical stories to a new generation, and watch as they (or even you!) fantasize about making your dreams come true!

4) Enjoy a guided Miami River Boat Tour alongside resident historian, Dr. Paul George, and learn some little-known facts about Miami's rich history. Stops along the way include the Miami Circle archeological site, the home of former Cuban president Fulgencio Batista, and a wide array of colorful tugboats, houseboats, and drawbridges.
