1) The Theatre Workshop of Nantucket presents its annual Comedy Night with Kevin Flynn, Monday, July 20, 2009 from 8:30pm - 9:30pm at the United Methodist Church. An annual island tradition, Flynn, who also stars on on HGTV's "Ultimate Collectors" and co-founded the Nantucket Comedy Festival, performs tasteful local and political standup. Tickets are $20.

2) On Saturday, July 25, Russ Morash, home renovation guru, discoverer of Julia Child, and director of award-winning PBS programs (The Victory Garden, This Old House) hosts a Garden Tour & Luncheon with his wife, Marian, a master chef, cookbook writer, and the original restaurateur of Nantucket's Straight Wharf. Participation is limited to thirty guests.

4) Labels currentVintage, Cheryl Fudge and Legends put on a fashion show during the Martha Walters Memorial Tree Fund Benefit taking place at Jetties Beach, Thursday, July 23, 6pm-9pm. Tickets are $85 and include hors d'oeuvres, plus a beer and wine bar.

5) Island photog Lauri Robertson recounts the developments of the medium in her lecture "A History of Modern Photography" at the Unitarian Meeting House. Lecture takes place Thursday, July 23 at 7 p.m.; admission is $15 and benefits the Meeting House & Nantucket Behavioral Health Services.
