They range from humble to haute and include shopping, drinking, sunning, and playing at various treasured spots and shops.

This week we're looking forward to...

EXPERIENCE

1) Don't miss the 17th Annual Nantucket Arts Festival, starting Friday, August 28, and going through Monday, September 7.  This year's always-popular festival brings together over 100 businesses, non-profits, artists & patrons into one location for a week of fantastic art.  For more information, visit the website.  More on local Nantucket  art:

SEE

2) Come see a staged reading of the much talked about and renowned Vagina Monologues, to benefit Nantucket's own Seaside Shakespeare Company.  This special performance will be taking place at Nantucket's mainstay for great live entertainment, The Chicken Box, on Wednesday, September 2, from 6-8 p.m.

4) The Theatre Workshop of Nantucket's very own Improv group will be performing every Sunday until October 1, at the Methodist Church on Centre Street, from 8:30-10 p.m.  This season, the group has begun to intercut improv games between the hilarious skits, so there's sure to be some entertaining audience participation!  Definitely a fun, and funny, way to spend a Sunday night.

4) On the lookout for some great fall accessories?  Check out the Peter Beaton Signature Collection of hats and totes at the two studios on Federal Street and Straight Wharf.  We also hear that there is a great end-of-summer sale going on, including some very nice sweaters, so head on over and stock up for a beautiful Nantucket autumn!
