2) Head on over to the Chicken Box on Friday September 11 and Saturday, September 12 to hear the Jamie McLean Band. 3) Enjoy a relaxing night of the Brant Point Grill at the White Elephant, with the smooth sounds of the Bob Lehman Trio. The restaurant will be serving up it's well-known seafood and steak dishes (don't forget to check out their FireCone, a modern-day interpretation of a Native American cooking technique), and the band will be serving up their blend of contemporary music & light jazz...it's a win-win situation!

4) Chow down on some delicious BBQ for a good cause on Saturday, September 12, from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Family Beach BBQ at Jetties Beach. This event will benefit the Maria Mitchell Association and the Children's House of Nantucket, and will feature make-your-own sundaes, a tasty raw bar for everyone, cash bar for adults, fun & educational activities to join in on...and of course BBQ! Tickets are $50 for adults, $25 for kids.

EXPERIENCE
5) Take some time out to recognize some local heroes. On Friday, September 11, the Shipwreck and Lifesaving Museum is hosting the annual Lifesaver's Recognition Day, from 5-6:30 p.m. at the museum. Come join in honoring four men and women who went beyond the call of duty to save lives in recent months. Sure to be a very special event, so don't miss it.
