Variety magazine reports on organizers plans to honor writer/director/actor Harold Ramis with the screenwriters tribute at the 14th annual Nantucket Film Festival.

This year also marks the 25th anniversary of Ramis' comedic masterpiece "Ghostbusters" and the festival will be holding a special anniversary screening of that film.

From Variety:

The 14th annual Nantucket Film Festival has tapped Harold Ramis to receive its screenwriters tribute during the fest's June 18-21 run.

The event will also be hosting a 25th anniversary screening of "Ghostbusters," which Ramis starred in and co-wrote. His upcoming film "Year One" will close the festival's program.

Ramis will take part in a comedy panel event along with Ben Stiller, Peter Farrelly and John Hamburg.

The tribute marks the second time Harold Ramis has been honored by a film festival in a Plum community. Two years ago, Ramis received the Gold Summit Award at the 2007 Vail Film Festival (See Attached Video).

Congrats Harold and I know we're all looking forward to another fantastic Nantucket Film Fest!
