On Saturday, October 17, come to the Great Harbor Yacht Club for The 2nd Annual Hoe Down, which will features tons of fun activities, like square dancing, live music, a mechanical bull, incredible BBQ and more much! 2) If you're a history buff or think you've got a grasp on the haps in popular culture, head on down to the Rose & Crown for their widely popular Trivia Night on Tuesday, October 13, at 8 p.m. This weekly night of fun (and actually pretty tough questions) goes until about 11 p.m...so grab a snack from their stocked menu and let the games begin!

3) It's time again for the NHA's Brown Bag Lecture Series. This weekly winter series happens every Thursday from 12-1 p.m. at the Nantucket Whaling Museum, and the basis is pretty simple: bring a lunch and learn all about Nantucket! This week's topic is The Marine Mammal Stranding Team, and has Dr. Sarah Oktay as the guest speaker. For more information, visit the website.

4) Just in time for Halloween, get spooked at The Box! On Friday, October 16 at 10:30 p.m., Boston natives Spookie Daly Pride will bring their rockin' combination of hip-hop infused roots rock & soulful grooves to our neck of the woods. These guys put on a totally unique show, and have even been likened to "Tom Waits fronting the Muppet Band"...sounds like a great live show! Check out the Box's website for more info.
