Every Monday, we post The Five Best Things to enjoy in the upcoming week. These things are selected by the Plum TV staff and often times by you.
They range from humble to haute and include exciting events, festivals and performances as well as dining, shopping and playing at various treasured spots, shops and institutions.
This week we're looking forward to...

Experience
1) Happy Halloween! Nantucket is one of the best places to be for this spooktacular holiday, and if you're out here be sure to stop by Bartlett's Farm and pick up a pumpkin...and don't forget to decorate it too! On Saturday, October 31 at 10 a.m. (that's Halloween day!), Bartlett's is doing a Farm Talk on how to carve and decorate your pumpkin, so you'll know how to make the perfectly ghastly or goofy pumpkin!

2) If you're looking for more ways to get in the spirit for Halloween, go for a Nantucket Ghost Tour and learn all about the darker side of Nantucket! Tours start at 8 p.m. every night on the corner of Main Street and Centre Street. The tours switch to appointment only from November until May, so now's the perfect time to do it! Call (508)-228-4572 for more details. Also, it's great cardio!

3) If you've got a costume (and we're sure you do) and want to show it off, come on downtown to participate in the Halloween Parade on Main Street. Start time is 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 31. While you're there, you'll get to mingle with an impressive assortment of ghosts, goblins, vampires, and probably more than a couple of Jon & Kate costumes. After the parade is costume judging, so make sure to wear it well.

4) Trick or Treat! After the parade, and hopefully after you've taken home the grand prize for best costume, walk around downtown Nantucket and go trick or treating. Pick up some candy from local business people and show of your scary costume! It's always a wonderful day that really brings together the whole community, plus candy candy candy!
5) And after you've put the kids to bed, finish the spooky festivities off with the Chicken Box's annual Halloween Bash, on Saturday, October 31 from 10 p.m. till 1 a.m. There will be $100 prizes given out for scariest, sexiest, and most creative costumes. Sounds like a great way to unwind after a very memorable Halloween!
