PLAY
1) Get a bird's eye view of the valley with Bald Mountain's Summer Lift Service. This high-speed quad ride gives amazing panoramic views of the Pioneer, Boulder, Smokey and Sawtooth mountain ranges. Hours are from 9 a.m. till 3:30 p.m., so head up early and go for a nice bike ride, as bikes are also allowed! The season is over on September 6, so hurry up and get up there!

2) Come see the art of two master painters at Modern Parallels: Mary Henry and Helen Lundeberg, at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, through October 2. This exhibit traces the careers of the two abstract painters from the 1930's to the 2000's, and features work ranging from regionalist lithographs to post-surrealist compositions to large-scale geometric abstraction. Come by Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m., or Saturdays from 11 a.m. till 5 p.m. If you'd like to know even more about the artists & works on display, there will be a free exhibition tour on Tuesday, September 1, at 2 p.m.

3) The Trey McIntrye Project comes to Sun Valley on Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28! The contemporary ballet company was founded in 2004 to nurture & support the work of Trey McIntrye, and has launched a 25-city tour across the U.S. and abroad, and will be performing in our neck of the woods at the Sun Valley Pavilion. The show begins at 9:30 p.m., and tickets range in price from $35-55.

4) More from the Sun Valley Summer Ice Show! This week's featured performer is Sasha Cohen, the 2008 Olympic Silver Medalist and two-time World Silver Medalist...very impressive! The show is on Saturday, August 29, beginning at dusk at the Sun Valley Lodge, and you can watch the show from the Dessert Buffet, Sun Room Terrace, or just the bleachers.

5) If you haven't been yet this summer, head on over to The Wicked Spud and check out their very fun Back Alley Party! On Wednesday, August 26, from 6-9:30 p.m., come on down and check out the music of 4-Stroke Bus, and maybe buy some beer, t-shirts or raffle tickets to support this week's benefited organization, Mountain Rides.
