The Valley is really bad about teasing me. When I was ready for winter, we got snow in October then I had to wait about a month to get more. Then last weekend was all warm and sunny. Now, its just cloudy and windy. However, if it started to rain really hard, I would be happy again. I like a good spring storm. I just can’t make peace with this in-between-y weather.
So, for all of you “kill your television” types, now is the time to sit on your couch guilt free…do it. I dare you. And if you don’t have a television (I know you're out there and I think we could be good friends; you know, the whole opposites attract thing), pick a seat next to a window and read a novel, an adventure magazine, a gossip periodical, whatever. Just take some time to cozy up, watch the clouds roll in and out and let your mind wander.
For all of you out there like me, who love TV, no matter what anyone says, enjoy new episodes of your favorite shows while they last, May Sweeps is all we have before we hit the dreaded summer drought. No new episodes, of anything. Anything good anyway…not that it has to be good for me to watch it. I’m just saying my DVR’s getting a much-needed break here in about a month.
As down as I sound about the weather, I actually like cloudy days, especially when I have to be inside. This way, I feel like I’m not missing out on doing something fun. Also, when it does rain, it is going to make everything green (the photo above is now my wallpaper, a reminder of what’s to come) and the warmer temperatures make snow melt and the rivers big…by the way have you looked at the water under the bridge on Warm Springs Rd? Twice what it was just last week. Love it. I can also hear Warm Springs from my deck now, bonus.
Another silver lining to the clouds above is that the time that I’m forced to spend inside is going to help my bum leg heal faster. Woohoo?
