Whether you are a seasoned mountain biker or just someone who likes to cruise, Sun Valley has plenty of options.

For the road biker, try out the Wood River Valley's famous bike path, the Wood River Trail. The path runs from Bellevue all the way through Ketchum and has an intense series of loops in Elkhorn with lots of hills for those who want a serious workout.

For a long bike trip, ride the Wood River Trail north until it runs into Highway 75. From there bike further north to Galena Lodge or summit Galena Pass for beautiful, panoramic views of the Sawtooth Mountains.

For long, hard mountain rides we suggest hitting one of trials like Fox Creek Loop or Adam’s Gulch (Watch Video). Or, head down Highway 75 to the light at East Fork & Greenhorn. Both roads will lead you to an endless collection of dirt trails.

Sun Valley Resort & Bald Mountain has a number of trails, ranging in length and difficulty, for the mountain bike enthusiast:

- Bald Mountain Trail Description & Map

- Broadway Trail Description & Map

- Cold Springs Trail Description & Map

- Traverse Trail Description & Map

- Warm Springs Trail Description & Map

We strongly recommend these trails as they offer stunning mountaintop views and numerous opportunities for wildflower viewing.

Watch as Baird Gourlay, from PK's Ski and Sports, bikes up Baldy and offers tips for successfully navigating the mountain (See Attached Video).

If mountain riding is not your speed, try Sun Valley's "New" (built in '07, but still nameless) Trail System. The five-mile, all level trail system surrounds Sun Valley's golf course and is a pleasant ride while still affording some beautiful views of the Wood River Valley.

Whatever your biking ability, the Wood River Valley has you covered, and biking is an absolutely fantastic way to cover a lot of ground while soaking in the natural beauty of the Valley.
