Every Monday, we post The Five Best Things to enjoy in the upcoming week. These things are selected by the Plum TV staff and often times by you.
They range from humble to haute and include exciting events, festivals and performances as well as dining, shopping and playing at various treasured spots, shops and institutions.

PLAY
1) On Friday, October 2 at 10 p.m., PlayItLoud Productions brings back one of our favorite local events...the 511 Party! The theme is Black & White, so come wearing black, white, or any fun combination you can think up (does that mean gray? we don't know!) Admission is $5, and a full bar is offered. There's also a fantastic sound system that will be tended to by DJ Deben, who'll be mixing some hot dance tunes. At the 511 building on the corner of 5th & Leadville.
2) Admire the beautiful colors of the fall with a hike, it's the perfect time to get out there and enjoy the outdoors. Check out a Trail Mix on your way out the door, bring water, and don't forget your camera. One of our faves, Mountain Aspens, are a treat to see and will only be here for a short time! Get out there and enjoy the Valley in the fall!

3) The Valley's fall fly fishing season is gearing up, and that means more hungry fish and way less anglers. Stop by Ketchum on the Fly to get all the gear & local info before you head out to the rivers, and don't forget to bring some hoppers!

4) It's your last chance to catch Modern Parallels: Mary Henry and Helen Lundeberg at the Sun Valley Center. This very popular show, tracing the careers of two abstract painters from the 1930's to the present, will be closing its doors on Friday, October 2. Featured will be work that ranges from "regionalist lithographs to Post-Surrealist compositions to large-scale geometric abstraction"...sounds great to us!
