Nicolas Cage at the Telluride Film Festival

Nicolas Cage at the Telluride Film Festival

Nicolas Cage was at the 36th Telluride Film Festival for the premiere of Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans.

Even though I wasn't able to see the new Nicolas Cage film over Labor Day weekend, I did manage to see him and my daughter got his autograph.

We tried to go to the Question and Answer session at the Courthouse, but it was full. As soon as the session was over, Nicolas came out and greeted everyone that was waiting outside.

Nicolas Cage was an incredibly nice guy. He took time to sign many autographs, including quite a few for the kids.  He also posed for several photos and answered questions from the crowd around him.  Some of the people with him repeatedly tried to escort him to his car, informing Mr. Cage that he would be stuck there forever, but he replied, "It's okay, it's okay."

The Telluride Film Festival is always a thrilling time, and it was quite nice to meet a favorite actor and see him as a normal, down-to-earth guy willing to spend a few moments with his fans.
