EXPERIENCE
1) Listen to the funky sounds of Papa Mali with special guest (not to mention Grateful Dead drummer and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer) Bill Kruetzman, on Friday, July 31, starting at 3:30 p.m., courtesy of the Telluride Cajun Festival. Get there early for opening act Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real.

PLAY
2) Lace up your cleats and head down to Town Park for some pick-up soccer on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Score some goals to get ready for the Telluride Official Soccer League starting up in the fall!
3) It's the perfect time of year to conquer a fourteener (a 14,000 ft. mountain)! Despite it's silly name, Mount Sneffels, a beautiful peak looking over Ouray, is a great all day hike for a moderate to more experienced hiker. Yankee Boy Basin on the mountain's south side is the starting point. It's a classic full-day outing and a great way to experience the San Juan Mountains firsthand. Watch as Plum TV's Ben Clark conquers Sneffels:

4) While most of the rivers may be too low to get wet while rafting, be sure to grab an innertube and head down to the Valley Floor for some big splashes. Purchase a tube at the local Ace Hardware store on Main Street, then drop in at Town Park and float on down to the Floor! Keep your eyes peeled for the prarie dogs and beautiful elk that populate the area.

5) Check out the plethora of bouldering and climbing routes that dot the peaks and wall faces of the San Juan Mountains. Warm up at Adventure Rock in Mountain Village, then try an easy route on Ophir Wall, or a tougher climb on Pipeline.
