Every Monday, we post 5 things that we're looking forward to enjoying in the upcoming week. These things are selected by Plum staff and often times by you.

They'll range from humble to haute and include shopping, drinking, sunning, and playing at various treasured spots and shops.

This week we're looking forward to...

EXPERIENCE

1) Get down and funky in Town Park with George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic! This performance is part of Telluride's local independent radio station's, KOTO, annual Doo-Dah Concert on Saturday, July 11! Be sure to arrive early to check out the opening band Rusted Root! Purchase tickets here.

2) Soak up some of the rich Telluride history, and sit in on a Fireside Chat in Mountain Village. Listen to the interesting family history of one of Western Colorado's old and historical families told by the Aldasoro Girls. Sit by the fire in Mountain Village Thursday, July 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Check out the Telluride Historical Museum's website for more info on the fireside chats.

SPLURGE

3) Enjoy a FREE mini-facial and chair massage, compliments of Franz Klammer Spa! The spa party features Astara Skin Products, a company owned by part-time Telluride local Sunny Griffin, one of the greatest super models of the 1960s. Come to the Himmel Spa anytime between 3 to 5 p.m. and pamper yourself!

4) Relax the mind and body! Take part in the 2nd annual Telluride Yoga Festival Friday, July 10 through Saturday, July 12. Some great featured instructors include Scott Blossom, Marioj Chalam, Tias Little, Richard Freeman, & more! Enjoy all kinds of workshop levels from beginner to advanced, as well as meditation seminars! Watch this clip on Plum of yoga in Telluride. Check out the Telluride Yoga Festival website for more info and tickets.

5) Find a friend with a convertible or motorcycle, or rent one! Take a drive and experience the beautiful San Juans! You could take the dirt, but graded, Last Dollar Road that starts behind the Telluride airport and ends up in Placerville or out on Hwy 62, just before Dallas Divide. The Last Dollar road is a killer mountain bike loop also, often referred as 'locals loop' when you climb from Placerville to the airport on those back roads.
