1) Don't miss the FIRST THURSDAY ART WALK this Thursday, October 1st, because it's the LAST ONE for the summer season! This fast growing event has become the place to see art and to be seen. Galleries around town are open late 'til 8, serving food and beverages for strolling socialites and art-lovers alike. Make sure you swing by the Ah Haa School and see a solo show of Meredith Nemirov's work in the Daniel Tucker Gallery. She is a local artist out of Ridgeway that has been teaching at the Ah Haa for years.

2) A big congratulations to all of you who competed in the grueling 133-mile bike race from Telluride to Moab over the weekend, raising money for the Just For Kids Foundation! For the rest of us, there's a bike film that looks into the evolution of the sport, playing at the Sheridan Opera House this Friday, October 2 at 7 p.m., and admission is only $10. Then, on Saturday, October 3, catch some of Bigfoot Productions 12-hour downhill race in Mountain Village. This event is the first of it's kind since the last Full Tilt Mountain biking event back in 2006, so come on out!

3) Be a part of Telluride History as Tommy's re-opens its doors for a final two nights of fun and entertainment. We all remember when this great locals venue was called Big Daddies, and before that Jack's Place, and before that... well who's keeping track? On Friday October 2, Bridget, Rose, and Stacy will be hosting the KOTO Karaoke Fundraiser, followed by the Tommy's Closing Party on Saturday, October 3. Let's see Tommy's go out in style!

4) Bring on beer and brats! Say Guten Tag to fall with Telluride's Oktoberfest, kicking off on Friday, October 2 and going through the weekend. Enjoy all the brews, brats, and oompah music you can handle in Heritage Plaza.
