Ajax Peak From Telluride

Every Friday, we'll be posting 5 things that we're looking forward to enjoying in the upcoming week. These things are selected by Plum staff and by you (our lovely readers!).

They'll range from humble to haute and include shopping, drinking, sunning, playing, and more at various treasured spots and shops.

This week, we're looking forward to . . . .

EXPERIENCE

The Telluride Heritage Festival is June 12-14. This historic festival celebrates Telluride’s past. At the festival be sure to check out the R. Carlos Nakai Trio at the Sheridan Opera House on the Saturday, June 13. R. Carlos Nakai is a world renown Native American flutist. Also, check out the Butch Cassidy bank robbery reenactment outside Appaloosa Trading Company at high noon on the 13th.

PLAY

Play a round of Disc Golf at the free course in Mountain Village. Enjoy the warm weather, and spend some time outdoors with friends. Dogs welcome!

Bike or hike to Bridal Veil Falls. This four mile, one way hike has an elevation gain of 1,650 feet and gives a stunning view of Bridal Veil Falls, the tallest free falling waterfall in Colorado. This spectacular building perched at the top of the falls is the Bridal Veil hydroelectric plant and home to the Jacobson family during the summer.

You are SO right about Kellie's!! Super affordable ~ not at all what we expected when we peeked through the window and saw all the incredibly unique, nicely made stuff. And the owner and staff is AMAZINGLY friendly and helpful! My daughter and I spent 2 hours in there last week ~ and got all of the cool clothes she could ever want for her first year of college!! Kellie and Lucy helped us put totally fun outfits together ~ including incredibly affordable jewelry, to complete the look. It was a BLAST!! [For the writer: If you happen to know their email address, I'd love to get it from you, as I took some fun pics of their shop that I wanted to email them ~ but lost their business card...!]
