(2009) TEVA Mountain Games, Vail CO, Mud Run

(2009) TEVA Mountain Games, Vail CO, Mud Run

And what can we say about the Teva X-1 Mud Fun Run? It is a fantastic, and filthy, event where the Mountain Games shows its silly side. Runners, of all ages, raced around a mud-laden Golden Peak track and no one made it out clean.

The Teva X-1 Mud Run is by far the most spectator-friendly event and a must-see (as rated by Plum) but it is also a wonderful opportunity to get in on the Teva action. If you want to be part of the Mountain Games, but would be lost on a mountain bike or get seasick at the sight of a kayak, the Mud Run is for you. It is a joyful experience. Just be prepared to take a shower and perhaps sacrifice a running outfit.

Plum Vail's Brooke Segerberg headed down to the Mud Pit that was Golden Peak to snap some shots of this wild, and thoroughly entertaining event.

There are no "official results" for the Mud Run because a) Everyone is a winner, b) It's a FUN run! and c) Really, how can you judge who was the dirtiest?
