Hello from Plum TV!

Every Monday, we post 5 things that we're looking forward to enjoying in the upcoming week. These things are selected by Plum staff and often times by you.

(Facebook Readers: Click here for the full post)

They range from humble to haute and include shopping, drinking, sunning, and playing at various treasured spots and shops.

This week we're looking forward to...

Experience

1) Indulge a little bit and check out the Beaver Creek Wine & Spirits Festival, from August 20 through August 22, at the Beaver Creek Resort. This weekend-long fest not only features the winners of the San Francisco International Wine Competition and World Spirits Competition, but also is full of amazing events that you won't want to miss, including fly fishing, culinary demonstrations, desserts & drink classes, and much more!

2) The Vail Jazz Festival continues! This week, come see the incredible Magos Herrera Quartet on Thursday, August 20, from 6-8 p.m., at the Vail Square. The legendary Latin singer is sure to bring the sultry sounds of her native Mexico to the stage in what will certainly be a concert not to be missed!

3) It's almost over! The final Hot Summer Nights Series is sadly upon us, but they're going out with a great show! Come to the Ford Amphitheater on Tuesday, August 18, at 6:30 p.m., and check out the Eek-A-Mouse concert. Eek-A-Mouse will perform their totally unique style of dance-hall that combines singing, DJ'ing, funky vocal gymnastics and effects, and we guarantee it'll be the perfect finale for a summer of great concerts.

4) Another last one for the season is the Beaver Creek Rodeo, which has its final show of the summer on Thursday, August 20, at 6 p.m., on the Rodeo grounds in Avon. If by some strange series of events you haven't been to the Rodeo yet, now is your chance to catch up with the rest of us! There's Bareback Bronc Riding, Calf Scramble Kids, Mutton Bustin', and tons more mysteriously titled events that are a lot of fun to watch! Tickets are $15 adults/$10 seniors/ $7 children 13-17. Bring the family to the rodeo!

5) If the Rodeo sounds a little too crazy for you but you still have a hankering for some Western Americana, come to the Vail Symposium's presentation of Rethinking the Native American West, on Tuesday, August 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail. This panel will be centered around the challenges that surround representing the sacred cultures of the American Indian, and will be led by John Haworth and Drex Brooks.
