1)  Bring the kids out to the Vilar Center on Monday, October 5 at 10 a.m. for a very special performance of the classic Peter and the Wolf. Watch in wonder as the duck, the bird, and the cat join Peter and his grandfather to outsmart that wily wolf in this familiar cautionary tale, set to both classical and contemporary music. Adapted by Alison Gregory and directed by Childsplay's founding artistic director David Saar, this old favorite is sure to wow both kids and adults alike! 2) Party like it's 1997 when Marcy Playground rock the Sandbar on Sunday, October 11. Perhaps best known for the late-nineties hit Sex and Candy, this New York-based alternative rock group has continued to tour and release records to this day, and are bringing their signature style of rock to rock you in Vail!

3) Come get educated & involved about social issues in Vail at the second Shaping the Future of the Eagle Valley session, on Thursday, October 8, from 6-8 p.m. at the Battle Mountain High School Lecture Hall. Founded in 2007, the Shaping the Future classes have sought to engage class members, government staff and elected officials in productive dialogue about local and regional issues & solutions. This week's class focuses on Health and Wellness in Eagle County, and will feature top medical practice executives and wellness experts speaking about the future challenges & directions for valley-wide healthcare. Sure to be a very interesting and topical discussion not to be missed.
