2) Celebrate Tisbury's birthday Wednesday, July 8 at the annual Tisbury Street Fair! Lots of activities for kids and families including face painting & a climbing wall. The Fair takes place 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Main Street in Vineyard Haven.

3) Check out the glasswork of master artists Andrew Magdanz & Susan Shapiro in a special exhibit at the Martha's Vineyard Glassworks in West Tisbury and then pop over to newly opened restaurant State Road for a bite to eat.

4) Head to the Field Club in Edgartown to celebrate authors and artists at a lavish benefit for the Edgartown Public Library Renovation on Sunday, July 12.

5) Watch a film at the Chilmark Community Center! This week, The Martha's Vineyard Film Festival's Summer Series presents The Lost Sons of Havana, a film following legendary Red Sox pitcher Luis Tiant's return to Cuba. Executive producers Bobby and Peter Farrelly and producer Kris Meyer will be on hand for a post-film discussion. The screening takes place on Wednesday, July 8 at 8 p.m. Learn more at tmvff.org.
