Every Monday, we post five things that we're looking forward to enjoying in the upcoming week. These things are selected by Plum staff and often times by you.

They range from humble to haute and include shopping, drinking, sunning, and playing at various treasured spots and shops.

This week we're looking forward to...

EXPERIENCE

1) It's coming!  The 4th Annual Martha's Vineyard International Film Festival returns to Vineyard Haven (at Capawock, Vineyard Playhouse & Katharine Cornell Theatre) from Thursday, September 10 through Sunday, September 13.  Check out some incredible films from all over the world, including Sita Sings The Blues, Rudo y Cursi, and The Pope's Toilet. Get your tickets now!

2) Check out a Wednesday night poetry reading at Che's Lounge in Vineyard Haven!  Che's Lounge is the only place on the island where you can get shade-grown, organic drip coffee in a fun bohemian atmosphere.  We like it so much that our daily show, Today on the Vineyard, has filmed there many times this summer.  While you're there, take a walk upstairs and check out Chrysal Parrot's dress shop, L'Atelier, where you can purchase fashions for men, women, and children.

3) Enjoy a quiet evening at Felix Neck, and be sure to try their special Moonrise Kayak guided tour.  Bring a sense of adventure (and warm layers) for the chilly September night air.  Kayaking under moonlight is a very romantic experience for couples, or just a great evening activity!

SAVOR

4) Have dinner at Il Tesoro, at the lovely Charlotte Inn in Edgartown!  It's been a busy summer and AJ Black's fine Italian restaurant has been pretty difficult to get into.  Take advantage of the break before the Labor Day crowds (or make your Labor Day reservation in advance) and enjoy the fabulous dishes like Risotto Pescatora, made with fresh island seafood!

5) Relax and celebrate the end of an amazing season with an evening of music and fine Irish food at Danny Quinn's in Oak Bluffs!  Blow the steam off of your busy summer with traditional Irish beers, fresh island takes on pub food favorites, and live music at the island's newest eatery.
