Wainscott Home Wins American Institute of Architecture Award

House at Sagaponac, a Wainscott home planned by Richard Meier and designed by Calvin Tsao of TsAO & McKOWN Architects, has won a 2009 Housing Award from the American Institute of Architecture.

Jack Larsen Properties: Part I

In this episode of Biography of a Hamptons House, we explore the iconic properties of Jack Larsen: the LongHouse Reserve and Roundhouse. This segment focuses on the African-inspired Roundhouse. Situated on 10 acres, it was built by Jack with the intention of going "back to nature" and being as simple as possible. Jack Larsen Properties: Part II

In Part II of this episode of Biography of a Hamptons House, we talk with Jack Larsen specifically about the LongHouse Reserve. Situated on 16 acres, its aim is to be a sanctuary where art meets beautiful gardens in a big "Show & Tell." Unlike Roundhouse, the LongHouse Reserve is inspired by pre-Japanese architecture.
