Producer Fisher Stevens & star Ric O'Barry join festival director Mystelle Brabbee during the 2009 Nantucket Film Festival to discuss their film, The Cove. The Cove recently won the 2010 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. The film exposes the annual, six month long dolphin slaughter in Taiji, Japan. Stevens discusses how the film came together from over 400+ hours of footage, while O'Barry (Flipper's former trainer) shares his long history with marine life & describes how individuals can effect change and end this brutal practice. Congrats to Fisher, Ric and all involved on this amazing film and their Academy Award win!

The historic White Elephant Hotel, a hub of activity during the Nantucket Wine Festival, is located on historic Nantucket Harbor and has been host to guests since the 1920s. The White Elephant was originally an assemblage of old houses and buildings that Elizabeth Temple Ludwig began gathering in 1917 on a prime spot near the Children’s Beach.

For more than 100 years Bartlett's Farm has been bringnig fresh fruit and vegetables to town with its truck on Main Street. Now the Farm's CEO John Bartlett and his daughters can be found weekly at the Nantucket Farmers and Artisans Market offering some more locally grown food.
