PLUM, a multi-media network focused on local content in destination markets, seeks a Sales and Marketing Manager for its Vail office. Plum creates original content for each local market channel as well as programming that airs across our network.
Primary role:
Attract clients to Plum’s unique targeted marketing platform. Sell branded content concepts to existing and potential partners. Develop a strong client portfolio. High volume of contact with potential advertisers and comprehensive coverage of local and regional markets are essential to the role.
Duties include:
Ad Sales Account Management
• Prospecting
• Direct new business efforts both from a local and regional perspective
• Develop sales proposals & write formal follow up letters
• Ensure pitches, proposals and final advertisements are consistent with client needs
• Execute sales contracts and insertion orders
• Manage ongoing sales material development
• Coordinate branded content production with producers and act as client advocate within Plum to ensure timely delivery of creative materials
• Manage all aspects of client accounting: maintain client database and interface with Accounting Department for billing, A/R, past due, etc. (Accounting Dept. will handle accounting directly with client, post sale)
• Manage ongoing accounts and conduct regular contact with existing clients to ensure highest quality customer experience
• Mentor, manage and motivate junior sales staff
Marketing and Product Development
• Work with Producers to understand and develop sell-able products and programming
• Schedule and attend sales meetings
• Develop, implement, manage and maintain marketing products and programs
• Coordinate design and production of marketing materials with Producers
• Manage cross marketing opportunities
Requirements:
• Solution sales experience (media, consulting, and/or marketing sales experience attractive)
• College degree (advanced degree attractive)
