Rob Gregory is a seasoned media and marketing professional, with over 20 years of experience in trade, consumer, and new media. Rob has extensive top management relationships at many of the largest brands in the United States, in both the mass and luxury product categories.

Prior to joining Plum Rob was Group Publisher at Alpha Media Group, Inc. (NYC) where he oversaw
Maxim Magazine and its growing list of brand extensions. Rob was responsible for magazine and multi-platform advertising sales including on line, mobile and satellite radio; brand positioning; large-scale consumer and celebrity events; promotion; public relations; and marketing conferences. The Maxim brand successfully built 360-degree internet, mobile and print marketing programs for some of the biggest brands in automotive, packaged goods, alcoholic beverages, and entertainment.

Prior to Maxim, Rob was Publisher of Rolling Stone, where he successfully re-invigorated and turned around the magazine, transforming the business from a 19% advertising sales revenue decline, to a 7% increase in just three years, during a period of dynamic change in both the consumer magazine and the music sectors. He also oversaw the publication of the largest issue in Rolling Stone’s 37-year history.

Rob has held top management positions at the upscale men’s lifestyle magazine Men’s Journal, where he was also responsible for the largest issue in that magazine’s history; Gourmet; and Scientific American. In addition, he successfully positioned and launched new affluent market magazines Travel & Leisure Golf and Garden Design, both of which remain profitable businesses today.

Rob’s professional honors and accomplishments include being named twice to the AD WEEK HOT LIST and his selection by Media Industry Newsletter as one of its Most Intriguing People of 2004. He is an accomplished public speaker at media and marketing conferences. He has made numerous TV appearances on media and marketing related programs, and he is frequently quoted in the business press on topics such as popular culture, new media technologies, and advertising and marketing trends.

Rob is a graduate of Boston University. He resides in Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife and daughter.
