Sam has worked for Plum since 2004, when he helped start the Martha's Vineyard channel. Sam comes to Plum with extensive experience as a new media producer, and tailors innovations in production practices to fit the unique challenges of the Plum production model.
Since 1995, Sam has developed CD-rom games, radio programs, and produced over 100 websites for clients ranging from Fruit of the Loom and First USA, to Smith Barney and Sotheby's International Realty. From 1999 to 2004, Sam managed interactive accounts for brand consultants Sterling Brands.
Prior to his work in new media, Sam was preoccupied with music and performance. In the early 90's, Sam was a member of Crash Worship, a tribal performance group and precursor to Burning Man culture. His more recent art activities include: community movie-making projects "Bacchanale" (2006) and "Mago" (2007) at Monkey Town; production for Claude Wampler's Performance (career ender) at the Kitchen (2006); museum installation with Genesis P-Orridge @ Kunstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin (2004); audio design for assume vivid astro focus @ Deitch Projects (2003); and music videos for Pink&Brown (2004) and the Rolling Stones (2003).
Sam is a co-owner and curator at Monkey Town, a restaurant and video theater in Williamsburg, Brooklyn that presents cutting-edge performance, video art and independent film.
