The battle between Boston and New York moved from the baseball field to the stage at the 2009 Nantucket Comedy Festival during the Boston vs New York Smackdown event at Jetties Beach. New York came into this year's smackdown 0-1 after Boston's overwhelming victory as the crowd favorite during last year's outing. Six comics, two teams, 1 winner.

Go behind the scenes with local teen comic, Owen Sanders, as he prepares for his stand up routine with Kid's 'N Comedy. The local teenager has always loved comedy and really wants to make it big. The Nantucket Comedy Festival has given him that opportunity. In fact, Owen has just audition for Nickelodeon.

For the second year in a row an all-star line-up of female comics took to the stage during the Nantucket Comedy Festival for Ladies Night. The evening started off with a cocktail party at Gypsy followed by the main event at the Methodist Church with stand-up comics Maureen Langan, Amy Stiller, Jane Condon, Kerri Louise and Cory Kahaney. The 2nd Annual Nantucket Comedy Festival continued its mission to raise money and awareness for some of the island's non-profit organizations by recognizing Nantucket's "A Safe Place" during Ladies Night.
