A shuttle bus system, which began four years ago, to move Art Basel goers from the Shops at Midtown to various art fairs In Wynwood, Miami Beach & the mainland will not be returning to Art Basel 2009. The funding is there. The staff, however, is not.

Art Basel Miami Beach 2009: Yayoi Kusama's Exhibit at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is showcasing the sculptures of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama for the 2010 art season. Kusama's Flowers that Bloom at Midnight consists of giant, vividly painted flower sculptures that range from five to sixteen feet in height. Several of Kusama's playful Pumpkins are also on display. The multi-part floating exhibit Guidepost to the New Space, is a series of rounded “humps” in fire-engine red with white polka dots that is being displayed in Pandanus Lake.
