UPDATE March 12, 2010 - Crews have opened I-70 through Glenwood Canyon in both directions. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction & will remain like this until long-term repairs can be completed. New photos added. The latest news & photos from the Glenwood Canyon rockslide which has shutdown all traffic, both directions on I-70, between Glenwood (mm 116) and at Dotsero (mm 133).

Scott Braisington discusses Pete Hinojosa Weekend, a series of events set up to benefit Aspen local Pete Hinojosa who has recently been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease. Saturday afternoon is a barbeque featuring volleyball, a dunk tank and live music. The main event is a Sunday night dinner at Jimmy's coinciding with a silent auction. Many local businesses have donated generously with all proceeds going towards Hinojosa's medical cost.

Plum spoke with President Haymon Jahi, co-founder Art Clay and regional team member Adrienne Wiggins of the National Brotherhood of Skiers during the 2009 Black Ski Summit in Aspen. The organization, founded in Aspen in 1963, has been active in bringing African Americans out to the slopes for over 35 years. Clay, Jahi & Wiggins share their love for the sport and their fondness for Aspen.

The Stranahan's recall their history in Aspen, their thirst for adventure, their relationship with the late Hunter S. Thompson as well the many properties they've owned or had a hand in creating including the Aspen Community School, the Aspen Community Center and the Woody Creek Tavern.
