Sun Valley Telemark Series director Danny Walton guides us through the 2009 Hawaiian Nationals Telemark Challenge, the the oldest, continually run telemark ski race in America. This year marked the 29th Annual Hawaiian Nationals Telemark Challenge with over 100 competitors from 5 states. From far and wide, they gathered (in the most ridiculous outfits possible) to participate in the Telemark Challenge, the Tandem Challenge, the Telemark Parade and the HumanSlalom. Enjoy this footage of the day's festivities, including interviews with former Hawaiian Nationals Director Gordon Gammell and "All Mountain Shredder" Bob Buchanan.

Sun Valley Winch Cat Operator Kevin Klepser takes Plum out for a night grooming session on Baldy to discuss night skier & hiker safety. In addition to walking through Winch Cat operating protocol, Kevin shares some of the grooming hot spots (where skiers & hikers should be extra alert) and discusses the dangers of the assisted cables and their movements on various terrain. This is a must-watch segment for anyone planning some night skiing or hiking. Remember to wear reflective clothing and check for signs & lights.
