The Collins Barn Restoration is a pilot project for private owners who have historic structures on their property, but do not have the means to preserve them. In 1906, the Collins family built this barn in the Deep Creek Mesa while living as ranchers. Through the work of organizers and volunteers like Linda Luther-Brodic, architect George Greenbank, Collins Family descendant Dan Collins and Roudy Roudeybush, the Collins Barn will live for at least another 100 years. Plum spoke with these organizers and volunteers about the history of the Collins Barn, the restoration efforts underway, and the importance of preserving Telluride's history.
