Tour: Miami's Gardens

This week we're giving you a glimpse into a few of Miami's most exquisite properties in our tour of Miami's Gardens. We scoured the city in search of the best and most beautiful gardens to explore and bring you these must-see spots: Fairchild Tropical Gardens in Coral Gables, The Kampong in Coconut Grove, the Miami Beach Botanical Garden on Miami beach and the Fruit and Spice Park in Homestead.

The Friendliest Place on Earth

West Matheson Hammock Dog Park

Just West of Matheson Hammock Park on Old Cutler Road in South Coral Gables lies an undeveloped piece of land, unknown to most Miami residents to be part of the William J. Matheson estate given to the city in 1930. While the land to the East of Old Cutler has since developed into a park and beach, the property to the West contains a very rare, environmentally sensitive hardwood hammock, protected from development and residing as a dog park.
