The professional athletes and celebs won't be the only thing catching your eye on Miami Beach during the Super Bowl. The South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee's Champions Arch will be illuminating the sky over Ocean and 11th throughout the week. The structure built by Gerdau Ameristeel was created with recycled steel from the Orange Bowl and Sun Life Stadium and is a tribute to the region's rich tradition of hosting Super Bowls (this year being South Florida's 10th year hosting the NFL's championship game).

The Nantucket High School ice hockey team rises with the sun two times a week for early morning practices. The 5:30 a.m. practice helps reduce ice-time costs and instill a good work ethic along with team unity. The hockey team plays a Junior Varsity schedule but practices towards being a Varsity level. Leading the way is first-year head coach Jack Moran. Also on the team is junior and lone female, goalie Casey Kurash.

Architect Rebecca Weld of Verde Nantucket Green Build takes us through the renovation revealing green aspects and the new second floor of the book store. The Nantucket Conservation Foundation's science staff conducts research on many of the foundation's properties to learn how to best protect the rare and endangered species on Nantucket. For the past 5 years the focus of the foundation has turned from acquisition of property to maintenance and research. In this piece we go to the head of the plains where they are finding out how fire affects a certain plant, they track turtles in Medouie and much more.
