Nantucket Cottage Hospital: "Newest Additons" Bone Density & Mammography
Nantucket Cottage Hospital continues to improve patient care and the services it offers with state of the art technology. Its newest addition includes a digital mammography and bone density screening suite made possible by generous donations from private donors such as Bob Gease and the late Bob Echele; and the Hospital Thrift Shop. During a well-attended ribbon cutting ceremony, Board of Trustees Chairman Steve Anderson along with the hospital's Chuck Gifford, Tina Maloney, Director of Women's Health Services Dr. Mary Murray and Director of Ancillary Services Jay Higgins all expressed their excitement about enhancing women's health on Nantucket. The mammography unit at the hospital is the latest in digital mammography, Hologic's Selenia Digital Mammography unit.
