(2009) Nantucket Film Festival: The Cove, 2010 Oscar Winner for Best Feature Documentary

Producer Fisher Stevens & star Ric O'Barry join festival director Mystelle Brabbee during the 2009 Nantucket Film Festival to discuss their film, The Cove. The Cove recently won the 2010 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. The film exposes the annual, six month long dolphin slaughter in Taiji, Japan. Stevens discusses how the film came together from over 400+ hours of footage, while O'Barry (Flipper's former trainer) shares his long history with marine life & describes how individuals can effect change and end this brutal practice. Congrats to Fisher, Ric and all involved on this amazing film and their Academy Award win!

This year's Late Night Storytelling hosted by Anne Meara & Peter Farrelly filled the 'Sconset Casino with laughter as part of 14th Annual Nantucket Film Festival. The event featured "Stories of Change" where audience members and surprise guests like actor Ben Stiller, television writer Donick Cary, actress Lili Taylor, actor Fisher Stevens, and NBC Nightly News' Brian Williams shared their experiences.
