We'd show up to the opening of an envelope. But how about the opening of a pen? Such was the case at the Standard Hotel this past Friday for the debut of the DBA 98 pen, a writing instrument made out of 98% biodegradable materials (and made in a wind-powered factory to boot).

Guests can sip on the traditional house Rose wine and savor an assortment of dishes such as the Le Filet de Boeuf au Porivre, a 10 oz center cut beef tenderloin served with french fries, among others.
