And what can we say about the Teva X-1 Mud Fun Run? It is a fantastic, and filthy, event where the Mountain Games shows its silly side. Runners, of all ages, will race around a mud-laden Golden Peak track and no one will make it out clean.

Teva Mountain Games 101: Guide to the Mountain Sports Events
The Teva Mountain Games, the nations largest mountain sporting event, returns to Vail June 4-7, 2009 for another four days of high-adrenline action and celebration of the outdoor lifestyle. The Games, acquired by the fine folks at the Vail Valley Foundation this winter, looks to be gearing up for its biggest year yet with a host of new cultural events and musical acts as well as the tried & true Teva traditions we've come to know and love.
